Well it’s officially been one year from the day we were sealed for time and all eternity! Wow I can’t believe it flew by so fast. Everyone says the first year is the hardest one; if that’s true then we got a lot of great years ahead, because I think this was the best year of my life so far.
The thing I love most about our relationship is the wonderful friendship that we’ve cultivated. It grows naturally and unobstructed like true friendships do. All the cute little playful things we do together, the inside jokes personalized for just the two of us, and all the other little light hearted things we constantly do together enrich every day, making our marriage as fun as it is fulfilling. Because our love is genuine and independent of external influences, these loving gestures are just as consistent when we’re all alone as when we’re with others. This is the kind of friendship I always hoped for in marriage and am thrilled to say is ours!
I’m also grateful for your inspiring response to the devastating accident your dad had this year. As a husband I worried that I wouldn’t know how to respond and comfort you like you needed and that this might consequently cause bad feelings to come between us; like I’ve heard so many people say happens during a family crisis. But you seemed to perceive my feelings of inadequacy and with loving understanding you didn’t require of me that which I didn’t well know how to give. You let my best feeble efforts be good enough and I’m so grateful for that kind of patience and understanding. It makes me feel like a good husband which is every husband’s greatest concern.
I’m also grateful for your support of my chosen career in a self employed capacity which is so different from what you’re accustomed to. It takes a lot of faith on the part of a wife to give her husband that kind of freedom. If that wasn’t enough, you even act excited about it all.
Daily I love to sit back and watch you interact with others and when I consider your beautiful smile, naturally cheery temperament, hot body, etc, etc. I often think to myself, “Wow, I’m married to that woman.”
Thank you so much for being the woman of my dreams and showing me more and more with each new thing how truly lucky I am.
Love you forever baby! Happy 1st Anniversary!

Ahhh!!! I have the bestest husband EVER! Miss you! Thank you so much for writing that...although I do believe you talked me up a lil more than the truth:). Love you--happy anniversary!
so sweet. you guys are such cute newleyweds!
You made me cry! I love watching you guys together! You are a great couple and will be incredible parents! What? You think I am hinting to something? That is your own guilty consciences! Hee hee! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!
I'm impressed...at first I thought it was Bree writing this. Very sweet. It gets even better Bree. Just wait - in your 10th year Eric will buy you one of those ridiculously large cards from 7-eleven, a slurpee and a box of Mrs. Cavenaughs mint truffles. When he walked in he had the biggest grin on his face too! AGAIN Thanks Curtis I LOVED IT!
Awwwww!
Wow! I almost cried my eyes out. Your so poettic. I need to read more. Maybe then I could come up with words like those. Happy Anniversary guys!!
Hey, happy anniversary to you too! Did you do anything fun? I guess your cruise is for your anniversary. HAVE FUN!:)
I read the first paragraph then, skipped to read the comments... I'm that sentimental... I read the rest, I promise. And I'll get married too, I promise.
Seeing is believing my fiend. Yes, I spelled that last word the way I wanted to. We must have the same gene. I didn't get that way until I had kids. I am sure I have more of it than you, but I was thinking about how unsentimental I really am. I think I had that thought because we are moving, and I was thinking of all the crap I am going to just chuck. Kev thinks it is sad that I don't save every freakin' piece of paper that Spence brings home from school. Sigh. Oh well, I'm over it!
I am queen of tossing school papers....Jackson always catches me though and I feel bad because he would save everything if I let him.
You just have to shove it down in the garbage can, so if he looks in there he won't see it right on top! I also throw stuff away when he is in bed or at a friends! I am such a mean mom!
Yes I do that trick. I really don't feel that bad anymore (about the toys) because they are warned that if they aren't picked up then they go in the trash or to the DI. We've had so sad days. Once a week I go through the toys and get rid of a bag. (they are usually happy meal toys).
Good idea! I get so sick of those dumb happy meal toys! What? Don't get take out? Whatevah! I needs my fries and Coke!
How about a Happy Birthday to Eric post?
Happy b-day E! We love you!
Oh yeah, a little happy birfday shout-out would have been nice of me, huh? Whoops...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Bree, I am so excited for you that your family is here! Yippee!
Also, if that job doesn't work out (I hope it does) it will be fun to have BOTH of you in Mexico! So I guess I am torn. I want you to have the job, but I want you in Mexico too! Good luck and keep me posted! When are you supposed to find out if you got it?
AHHH...I know what you mean about the job--I'm so torn. But, the no Mexico thing sucks!:( Anyway, I find out either tomorrow or the beginning of the week. They said a "couple of days we'll let you know"--whatever that means to them. If it's a no, then I'm getting a plane ticket and freakin passport right away! Although I heard they're taking like 4 months to get passports made, so maybe I should go tomorrow and do that anyway. But 4 MONTHS?? I wouldn't even have it by the time you go! That would be so gay!
Yeah, it's been fun with my fam here--busy. My sister found a job (at Costa Vida--which goes against your Cafe Rio love!), and a car (2001 Kia Spectra), and we got everything lined up for their apartment out here. Next we have to help my mom find a job, then get them all moved in on Saturday--fun, fun. Saren has been begging since she got here to see Spencer and Olivia, so maybe when things settle down a lil bit we'll have to come up there and hang out for the day. Sound fun?! Ok, talk to you lata
That would be fun to hang out! You should see if your mom can get a job at a hospital. My mom told me she wanted a night job, but nothing is open in Provo. I told her to tell her about the hospital. That is great they are getting settled and everything squared away!
As for the passport, you can just get it expidited. I think I paid $50 more, but it was worth it. Good idea to just get one anyway. I hope you get your job! Maybe both will work out, but if not we will just go again!!! Aleda says she loves visitors!
HAPPY LATE B-DAY E!!! We love your pantaloons right off!
Go on and blog already.
Get over the Happy Anniversary already! We need new news! Geeze!

(don't tell them I said that) just wanted to let you guys know that we finally have a blog of our own... you can find us at thestrombergs.blogspot.com. it was a blast hanging out with you guys last week at the cabin- especially watching bree become 'an outdoors person.' :) hopefully by the end of the trip we got you all the way there! see you guys soon!
BOO! OK, I think you just need some ideas.
Updates on the Pason house sell, ex: when it closes and pictures
Updates on the American Fork house, pictues, and why that crazy skinny painter wanted to paint the trim kelly green.
Life with your parents in town.
Pictures and updates on your tomatoes.
Is that good enough? I know you think you are boring or that we already know everything about you, but we don't! Also, it has been far too long since Eric posted some random video of himself doing something crazy!
AMEN my sistah cousin!
Nothing yet huh?
