OK, I need a little consolation. I was THE WORST mom the other day. Eric and I were driving up to Tai Pan (which is like 20 minutes away). We heard Taylor make a spit up sound in the back seat, then she got all fussy. So, I reached back without looking to grab her binky. When I grabbed it, my hand got all wet. I just figured it was spit up, and wiped my hand off. I stuck the binky in her mouth, and she promptly spit it out. I did it again, and she spit it out. Finally, I stuck it in her mouth and held it in. We got to Tai Pan and Eric got her out. He asked me if I had been feeding her sweet potatoes or something. Of course I hadn't given her anything like that yet, so why was he asking me that?!? Because there was orangy stuff all over her face. What could it possibly be?? Yes, yes it was...POOP!! Sad, sad day. She had a total blowout diaper, and it was all over her car seat. So, I made her eat a poopy binky!! I felt TERRIBLE! Then, when we got home, I got Taylor out, and the whole time the base to her car seat had been unbuckled. Who knows for how long!! AHHH.
SOOO, as I said earlier, I need some consolation!!:( Any of you have any stories like that? Either ones you've done, you've heard about, or that your parents did to you?? Seriously, I NEED to know!
Here's a picture Eric snapped before we got her all cleaned up! (If you enlarge it you can see it better)

O.K. One time my Taylor (the male one) was in the bathtub (he was about 1 year old) and he did a little "duty" in there.
He promptly picked it up and put it in his mouth and swallowed it. I panicked and called the poison control center because of the ecoli bacteria. They said "if it came from him, he's O.K.
Please don't feel so bad...it happens to the best of us.
:)
Good job bree! just kidding! I love her SO much!
I just died! That is the most hilarious thing I've heard all day! Poor poop face!
I have to say I have drove many a places with her car seat straps undone. What happened to our brains giving birth??
My best poop story was one I wrote when she was first born and pooped clear across the room on her curtains. Why can't I think of something else? I know I've done the worst stuff...
Nope. I am a perfect mother. PSHHT!
Too bad for me that you have been witness to so many of my mistakes. You are a great mother, and stories like this only help us learn and LAUGH! This was awesome.
I remember a time when it was a crazy day, and Spencer was about a year old. I hurried and fed him, got us both ready, and were out the door. Well, it wasn't until DINNER TIME that I realized I hadn't fed him since breakfast. I felt like crap. Now I can't keep him out of the pantry. I wonder if it all stems from that day. ;)
OH, and Tay couldn't have been that upset. Look how sweet she looks in that picture! LOVE HER!
Thanks guys, you are helping me feel better:).
Shauna...that is SICK!! And oh so funny.
Oh Veronica, I forgot about that story!! That is hilarious! How in the world did she shoot it all the way to the curtains?!? DANG!
KJ, you are one of the very best moms I've seen, and I look up to you a lot! I can't believe Spencer wasn't screaming his face off at you! Good kid, good kid!
Shauna's BFF is poison control. Partly because I tried to poison her once with a peroxide solution. ;)
Oh, my poor baby! How could you have known! We have all done something crazy as moms. The story I can think of right now happened a couple weeks before Gwen was born. Geoffrey and I were shopping in Idaho Falls and I had him get into his car seat while I put the bags in the car and took the cart back. Then I just shut the door and we left. When we got to the gas station he started to crawl out of his seat as I pumped the gas and I said, "How did you unbuckle yourself!?" Then, I realized what I had done! Thank goodness we weren't in any accidents.
Taylor is SO cute! She looks like Eric to me in this picture! Although the poo on the face has nothing to do with it. :)
aw sad!
she has the cutest poopie face I have ever seen!
we as sibling used to do uber crazy things to our younger kids... don't feel too bad- she looks too happy! she loves you!
Okay I know what you mean about the whole binky thing! I totally do the same thing and hold it in his mouth sometimes when I am in the front seat. I feel bad for Taylor but just give her extra hugs and kisses and a bath and I am POSITIVE she has forgotten the whole thing :)
Oh Bree! I do stuff like that all the time...well, I haven't done that poop thing yet, but I'm sure it's in my and Marley's future. Funny though!
There have been a few times when Marley has fallen asleep and she wasn't strapped into her car seat and the blanket was over her and we forgot to strap her in. Both times, when I realized that we had driven around without her strapped in I felt like total CRAP and I was SO grateful we were not in an accident.
